Football at The Lion Works

On Wednesday 3rd May The Lion Works School played against Winchelsea school for the second time this year but for the first time in our TLWS branded football kit (thank you Mr Davis). The weather was perfect for the game, if not slightly too sunny for Mr McLaughlin's (Dave's) fair Scottish skin. The pupils were excited ahead of this fixture and were also keen to claim their favoured number of football top.

The game was played in quarters to allow both teams to use our substitutes and give everyone a fair share of game time. TLWS didn't start well and went 3-0 down in the first quarter. However, after this initial shaky start we managed to bag two goals and ended the game with a 4-2 scoreline. So far we have played Winchelsea twice, winning once and losing once in two very closely contested matches. We are looking forward to playing them again soon.
